Frequently Asked Questions
Q. What is your background?
A. I received a bachelor of science degree in mathematics (UNC, ’00) before earning a master of science degree in kinesiology (Cal State University, Fullerton, ’06). I excelled in casino management before beginning the path to a more balanced life and found scoping. I hope to create a healthy relationship between the court reporter’s incredible skill to transcribe the spoken word and the production of their final transcripts. Easing this process allows any court reporter to make more money while reducing their stress.
Q. What is your training?
A. I trained to become a scopist with BeST Scoping Techniques. Cathy and Judy are phenomenal at training and developing scopists, and I am proud to have graduated from their school. Morson’s English Guide for Court Reporters is my preferred reference guide. Developing the ability to read in steno has been a wonderful fascination and has helped me become more fluent in Spanish as well.
